Australia’s trade with the United States rose to $8,353,972,727 through the first three months of 2013, according to a WorldCity analysis of latest U.S. Census Bureau data. That’s -15.01 percent below its total trade during the same time period last year. Australia’s exports decreased -18.31 percent while imports dropped -3.98 percent. The U.S. deficit with Australia was $0.
Through March, Australia’s top U.S. Customs districts for total imports and exports were No. 1 Los Angeles, No. 2 Atlanta/Savannah, No. 3 New York City, No. 4 San Francisco and No. 5 Philadelphia compared to last year when the top spots were held by No. 1 Los Angeles, No. 2 Atlanta/Savannah, No. 3 New York City, No. 4 Honolulu and No. 5 Philadelphia. In the current time period, the top five accounted for 85.36 percent of Australia’s U.S. trade..
