Azerbaijan’s trade with the United States rose to $2,752,871,575 through the first 12 months of 2011, according to a WorldCity analysis of latest U.S. Census Bureau data. That’s 22.80 percent above its total trade during the same time period last year. Azerbaijan’s exports increased 29.64 percent while imports rose 21.92 percent. The U.S. deficit with Azerbaijan was $2,096,162,419.
Through December, Azerbaijan’s top U.S. Customs districts for total imports and exports were No. 1 Philadelphia, No. 2 U.S. Virgin Islands, No. 3 Houston, No. 4 New Orleans and No. 5 Mobile compared to last year when the top spots were held by No. 1 Philadelphia, No. 2 Mobile, No. 3 U.S. Virgin Islands, No. 4 Houston and No. 5 Port Arthur, Texas. In the current time period, the top five accounted for 6.13 percent of Azerbaijan’s U.S. trade..
