Brunei’s trade rose to $41,989,571 through March
Brunei’s trade with the United States rose to $41,989,571 through the first three months of 2012, according to a WorldCity analysis of latest U.S. Census Bureau data. That’s 0.78 percent above its total trade during the same time period last year. Brunei’s exports increased 24.35 percent while imports dropped -72.55 percent. The U.S. surplus with Brunei was $36,425,895.
Through March, Brunei’s top U.S. Customs districts for total imports and exports were No. 1 New York City, No. 2 Los Angeles, No. 3 Houston, No. 4 Seattle and No. 5 Low Value Shipments compared to last year when the top spots were held by No. 1 Seattle, No. 2 New York City, No. 3 Houston, No. 4 Dallas and No. 5 Los Angeles. In the current time period, the top five accounted for 23.55 percent of Brunei’s U.S. trade..
