Equatorial Guinea’s trade rose to $478,309,531 through March

Equatorial Guinea’s trade with the United States rose to $478,309,531 through the first three months of 2012, according to a WorldCity analysis of latest U.S. Census Bureau data. That’s -15.18 percent below its total trade during the same time period last year. Equatorial Guinea’s exports decreased -6.43 percent while imports dropped -16.25 percent. The U.S. deficit with Equatorial Guinea was $363,702,009.

Through March, Equatorial Guinea’s top U.S. Customs districts for total imports and exports were No. 1 Houston, No. 2 Port Arthur, Texas, No. 3 New York City, No. 4 Philadelphia and No. 5 New Orleans compared to last year when the top spots were held by No. 1 New Orleans, No. 2 Houston, No. 3 U.S. Virgin Islands, No. 4 Port Arthur, Texas and No. 5 Dallas. In the current time period, the top five accounted for 2.07 percent of Equatorial Guinea’s U.S. trade.. That compares to 20.34 percent for the nation’s top five Customs districts during the same time period.

Total U.S. exports to Equatorial Guinea were $286,438,396 and imports from Equatorial Guinea were $1,190,780,854. The U.S. deficit with Equatorial Guinea was $-904,342,458.
