Iraq’s trade with the United States rose to $4,547,523,496 through the first three months of 2013, according to a WorldCity analysis of latest U.S. Census Bureau data. That’s 23.03 percent above its total trade during the same time period last year. Iraq’s exports decreased -8.29 percent while imports rose 26.92 percent. The U.S. deficit with Iraq was $0.
Through March, Iraq’s top U.S. Customs districts for total imports and exports were No. 1 Houston, No. 2 Los Angeles, No. 3 New Orleans, No. 4 Philadelphia and No. 5 San Francisco compared to last year when the top spots were held by No. 1 Houston, No. 2 Los Angeles, No. 3 New Orleans, No. 4 Philadelphia and No. 5 Port Arthur, Texas. In the current time period, the top five accounted for 9.89 percent of Iraq’s U.S. trade..
