Liechtenstein’s trade rose to $67,163,850 through March

Liechtenstein’s trade with the United States rose to $67,163,850 through the first three months of 2012, according to a WorldCity analysis of latest U.S. Census Bureau data. That’s -2.29 percent below its total trade during the same time period last year. Liechtenstein’s exports decreased -33.84 percent while imports rose 0.97 percent. The U.S. deficit with Liechtenstein was $58,662,832.

Through March, Liechtenstein’s top U.S. Customs districts for total imports and exports were No. 1 Detroit, No. 2 Buffalo, No. 3 New York City, No. 4 Cleveland and No. 5 Houston compared to last year when the top spots were held by No. 1 Buffalo, No. 2 Detroit, No. 3 New York City, No. 4 Houston and No. 5 Charleston. In the current time period, the top five accounted for 21.74 percent of Liechtenstein’s U.S. trade.. That compares to 24.59 percent for the nation’s top five Customs districts during the same time period.

Total U.S. exports to Liechtenstein were $62,269,579 and imports from Liechtenstein were $250,424,006. The U.S. deficit with Liechtenstein was $-188,154,427.
