Rwanda’s trade rose to $15,372,326 through March
Rwanda’s trade with the United States rose to $15,372,326 through the first three months of 2012, according to a WorldCity analysis of latest U.S. Census Bureau data. That’s 11.76 percent above its total trade during the same time period last year. Rwanda’s exports decreased -33.57 percent while imports rose 111.14 percent. The U.S. deficit with Rwanda was $2,823,450.
Through March, Rwanda’s top U.S. Customs districts for total imports and exports were No. 1 San Francisco, No. 2 New York City, No. 3 Houston, No. 4 Norfolk and No. 5 Miami compared to last year when the top spots were held by No. 1 New York City, No. 2 New Orleans, No. 3 Houston, No. 4 San Francisco and No. 5 Norfolk. In the current time period, the top five accounted for 28.22 percent of Rwanda’s U.S. trade..
