South Korea’s trade with the United States rose to $25,435,797,164 through the first three months of 2013, according to a WorldCity analysis of latest U.S. Census Bureau data. That’s 1.14 percent above its total trade during the same time period last year. South Korea’s exports decreased -8.64 percent while imports rose 9.24 percent. The U.S. deficit with South Korea was $0.
Through March, South Korea’s top U.S. Customs districts for total imports and exports were No. 1 Los Angeles, No. 2 San Francisco, No. 3 Atlanta/Savannah, No. 4 New York City and No. 5 Houston compared to last year when the top spots were held by No. 1 Los Angeles, No. 2 Atlanta/Savannah, No. 3 San Francisco, No. 4 New York City and No. 5 Dallas. In the current time period, the top five accounted for 76.70 percent of South Korea’s U.S. trade.. That compares to 74.72 percent for the nation’s top five Customs districts during the same time period.Taking a closer look at the leading U.S. gateways for U.S. trade with South Korea,:
