St Kitts and Nevis’s trade with the United States rose to $37,274,217 through the first three months of 2012, according to a WorldCity analysis of latest U.S. Census Bureau data. That’s -10.34 percent below its total trade during the same time period last year. St Kitts and Nevis’s exports decreased -18.21 percent while imports rose 8.23 percent. The U.S. surplus with St Kitts and Nevis was $10,497,597.
Through March, St Kitts and Nevis’s top U.S. Customs districts for total imports and exports were No. 1 Miami, No. 2 New Orleans, No. 3 Low Value Shipments, No. 4 San Juan and No. 5 New York City compared to last year when the top spots were held by No. 1 Miami, No. 2 New Orleans, No. 3 San Juan, No. 4 Low Value Shipments and No. 5 New York City. In the current time period, the top five accounted for 8.72 percent of St Kitts and Nevis’s U.S. trade..
