Ogdensburg, N.Y.’s trade decreases -6.34 percent through March

Ogdensburg, N.Y.’s trade with the world rose to $11,407,160,063 through the first three months of 2012, according to a WorldCity analysis of the latest U.S. Census Bureau data. That’s -6.34 percent decreases the Customs district’s total trade during the same time period last year. The district’s exports increased 1.29 percent while imports dropped -10.82 percent.

Through March the district’s top trade partners were No. 1 Canada, No. 2 Germany, No. 3 China, No. 4 United Kingdom and No. 5 Netherlands. Through the first three months of the last year, top five spots were held by Canada, Ireland, Poland, United Kingdom and China, respectively.

Taking a closer look at the leading trade partners with Ogdensburg, N.Y.:

  • No.1 Canada’s trade fell -0.68 percent to $10,413,561,855.
    Exports rose 1.52 percent to $4,495,426,968. Imports fell -2.30 percent to $5,918,134,887.
