China TradeNumbers Special Report released

August 1st, 2007

WorldCity released its first-ever China TradeNumbers publication in conjunction with an Asia-focused maritime event at the Port of Savannah in Georgia.

The publication, a 16-page Special Report, looks at the leading Customs districts that trade with China, which in 2006 became the United States’ second-leading trade partner, pulling ahead of Mexico and trailing only Canada.

The publication, a condensed version of the TradeNumbers publications also produced by WorldCity, was sponsored by the Georgia Ports Authority and the Houston Airport System.

The Georgia Ports Authority asked us to produce this product for the event it was hosting, and we quickly agreed, since it is our company’s desire to expand into country-focused TradeNumbers publications, said WorldCity President Ken Roberts. The story of U.S. trade with China is, of course, less simplistic than often portrayed. U.S. exports are increasing at a far more rapid rate than imports, even though the United States has an enormous and growing trade deficit with China.

Other TradeNumbers publications produced in 2007 include Miami TradeNumbers, now in its seventh year; Americas TradeNumbers, now in its fifth year; and Los Angeles, U.S. and Georgia TradeNumbers, all in their second year. In late September, WorldCity will produce the inaugural edition of New Orleans TradeNumbers as well as inaugural edition of Americas TradeNumbers in Spanish.
