2nd U.S. TradeNumbers released

WorldCity has released the second annual version of U.S. TradeNumbers, a publication expanded in 2007 to include sections on the leading Customs districts, the leading imports and the leading exports.
As was the case with the inaugural issue in 2006, the publication also provides statistics and analysis of U.S. trade with the nation’s leading trade partners.
This publication, as well as the others in our TradeNumbers series, attempt to shed light on the impact of international trade and globalization on the U.S. economy, said WorldCity President Ken Roberts.
The story we tell is that U.S. exports surpassed $1 trillion for the first time ever in 2006, that the United States has a trade surplus with 117 nations of the world and a deficit with 115, that trade is not as simplistic, nor is it accurately portrayed when the entire focus is job losses and the trade deficit.
