Miami-based Zyscovich Architects has named Mario Suarez-Parra as partner.

An architect with 17 years of experience, Suarez has been with the firm for nine years. He has served as project director on many key projects and now directs the design of a new 33-gate El Dorado International Airport in Bogota, Colombia. 

As partner, Suarez will help expand the firm’s presence in South and Central American markets. 

Suarez holds an architecture degree from Colombia’s Universidad del los Andes and a master’s in business administration from Cornell University. He is accredited in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED, the eco-friendly standard used by the U.S. Green Building Council. 

Founded in 1977, Zyscovich Architects has more than 90 employees hailing from more than dozen countries. It has offices in Miami, New York, Orlando, Fort Myers, West Palm Beach and in Colombia’s Bogota, according to the company Web site at www.zyscovich.com.
