Law firm Boyd & Jenerette has named Jorge Gutierrez as managing partner of its new Miami office.

Gutierrez concentrates on domestic and international business and securities offerings. He has experience in business with Latin America and Europe. A certified public accountant, he also has worked for the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.

Also joining the new office at 801 Brickell Ave. in dowtown Miami are Ron Neiwirth, David da Silva Cornell and Carlos Aguilar. All are bi-lingual in English and Spanish. Cornell also is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Portuguese.

Jacksonville-based Boyd & Jenerette began in 1952. It has about 40 lawyers in offices in Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale and Miami in Florida, Savannah in Georgia and Wilmington in North Carolina.

Its expansion comes as more US law firms open or grow in Miami to tap rising international trade and business,including Wilson Elser and DLA Piper.
