The Doral Business Council has named Dana Fernety, most recently a top official at the Beacon Council, executive director.
It appears as though he may also have been brought in to make some changes to the organization. He “will be assessing the current structure and services the organization offers,” according to a statement, “in order to continue building value-added, robust programs for the members and community.”
Fernety was previously vice president and special assistant to Frank Nero, president and CEO of the Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County’s economic development arm, where he led the organization’s advocacy program, managed the day-to-day operations of the president’s office and developed an in-house marketing and communications department.
