Enterprise Florida, the state’s economic development group, promoted two top executives in its international trade and business development division.

Michael Schiffhauer became vice president from senior director. He will continue to oversee European trade development and Enterprise Florida’s six in-state regional sites: Jacksonville, Orlando, Palm Beach, Pensacola, Tampa and Tallahassee.

He also leads worldwide promotions for Florida’s life sciences and information technology industries, which includes facilitating Florida business participation in major international trade shows such as Medica and Hospitalar.

Schiffhauer joined Enterprise Florida in 2004 following posts at the former Florida Department of Commerce and the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission.

Lorrie Belovich has been named regional manager of international trade development, based in Tampa. She serves as a community liaison, advising businesses interested in global trade and helping with export information. Her office also recruits small and mid-size companies for participation in Enterprise Florida’s trade programs.

Belovich had worked at the group’s Coral Gables office, managing logistics for governor-led trade missions, inbound missions and special events.  She joined Enterprise Florida in 2006.
