Brazil’s polling and market research group IBOPE has purchased New York-based polling group Zogby International to expand in the U.S. market.

The duo have formed IBOPE Zogby International, a non-partisan company with offices in Miami, Washington, D.C. and Utica, N.Y,

IBOPE Group has offices in 15 countries and is a leader in its field in Latin America and the Caribbean. Zogby International, founded by John Zogby in 1984, is well-regarded for research in the United States. Together, the companies can expand their strength and reach in the Americas, executives said.

IBOPE Zogby International remains privately-held, managed by Chief Executive Officer Kjell de Orr, who has more than 15 years of experience at leading international research firms.

Its board of directors includes Kjell de Orr; John Zogby; Marcia Cavallari, chief executive of IBOPE InteligĂȘncia of Brazil; Marcelo Kac, Latin American business and operations executive director for IBOPE Inteligencia of Brazil and his Highness Prince Turki bin Khalid al Saud, the company announced.
