Kroll, the risk mitigation firm, named attorney James Faulkner as managing director to lead its Miami office.
He will will supervise a wide variety of assignments including investigations, fraud detection, due diligence and regulatory issues.
Faulkner comes to Kroll after a career with the U.S. Justice Department. He was most recently the department’s judicial attache in Colombia. In that post, he led legal diplomacy efforts for U.S. prosecutors and federal agents, helped coordinate an extradition program, and attained legislative reforms to enhance law enforcement relationships. Kroll said.
Before that, he had prosecuted complex international narcotics cases in Washington, D.C.
He earlier had been a prosecutor with the Miami-Dade County Attorney’s office and was a legal officer with the U. N. Verification Mission to Guatemala.
Faulkner holds a law degree from University of Virginia and is admitted to the Bar in the states of Florida, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
